How are the stockings washed?
Washing instructions for wool and silk socks:
- Machine wash (gentle) – If you choose to machine wash, use a gentle program for wool and silk, and make sure the temperature does not exceed 30 degrees. Optionally, use a laundry bag for extra protection.
- No fabric softener – Fabric softener can damage both wool and silk, so avoid it to preserve the fibers.
- Drying – Socks must not be tumble dried. Lay them flat on a towel and let them air dry in the shade. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources, which can cause them to lose shape and color.
- Storage – To preserve the shape of the socks and avoid moths, it is recommended to store them folded in a dry place.
- Hand wash – To best preserve quality, you can hand wash the socks. Use lukewarm water (max. 30 degrees) and a mild wool or silk soap.

The stockings are made of silk and should therefore be washed according to the usual recommendations for silk textiles. This means that you should use gentle wash or hand wash at a maximum of 30 degrees. Silk stockings must not be tumble dried.
It is recommended to use a suitable detergent for silk or wool. Likewise, it is beneficial to wash the silk stockings in a laundry bag to protect them as much as possible.
