Is Cillouettes a Danish webshop?
Yes. Cillouettes is a Danish webshop, and we ship the goods from our own warehouse north of Copenhagen. If you need help, you can write toinfo@cillouettes.com.
Are your products made of real silk?
Our silk products are made from real mulberry silk. Some goods, including socks, are mixed with other fibers. You will find materials and any percentages on the individual product page.
What is mulberry silk?
Mulberry silk is also called mulberry silk. It is produced from the cocoons of silkworms that feed on mulberry leaves. The silk is woven into fabric with a smooth surface and a natural shine.
What is the difference between silk and satin?
Silk is a fiber while satin is a way of weaving the fabric. Satin can therefore be woven from both silk, polyester and other fibres. Look for the material composition if you want to be sure what the item is made of.
What does momme mean?
Momme tells how much the silk fabric weighs in relation to the area. A substance of 22 momme is heavier than one of 19 momme. However, Momme does not say everything about the quality; weaving, stitching and fit also matter.Read more about momme here.
Is silk vegan?
No. Silk is an animal fiber because it comes from the cocoon of the silkworm.
Pillowcases, sizes and hair accessories
Does the pillowcase fit a 51 × 66 cm rectangular pillow?
Yes. Our standard pillowcase measures 51 × 66 cm and fits rectangular pillows of the same size. Always check the dimensions of the variant you choose. If you are unsure, email us before ordering.
How do I choose the right size pillowcase?
Measure your pillow and compare to the size on the product page. The cover must fit nicely without squeezing the pillow so much that it becomes uncomfortable to lie on.See our silk pillowcases.
Can I choose two different colors in a 2-pack?
Yes. Write the desired colors as a note to the order, or send us an email atinfo@cillouettes.comwith your order number as soon as possible.
What is the difference between a silk pillowcase and a bonnet?
A silk pillowcase provides a smooth surface on the pillow. A bonnet holds the hair together in a hood while you sleep. You can use them separately or together, whichever you find most comfortable.
How should a bonnet sit?
There must be room for the hair, and the edge must sit without tightening or pulling at the hairline. If you have long or full hair, you may need a spacious model.Find help in our bonnet guide.
Does the hair have to be wet when I use Curl Band?
The hair should only be slightly damp. Wrap it around the ribbon without tightening and let it dry completely before removing the ribbon. Very wet hair can take a long time to dry.See our step-by-step guide.
Wash and care
How do I wash silk?
Always follow the washing label. Use a detergent designed for silk and wash gently without rubbing or wringing the fabric. If machine washing is permitted, use a laundry bag and the recommended program.See the complete washing instructions.
Can silk be put in the tumble dryer?
Allow the silk to air dry and avoid dryers, radiators and direct sunlight. Gently squeeze out excess water in a clean towel without wringing the fabric.
Can I use regular detergent and fabric softener?
Choose a mild detergent designed for silk. Ordinary detergent may contain enzymes that are not suitable for the material. Avoid fabric softener and bleach, and follow the dosage on the bottle.
How often should I wash my silk pillowcase?
Change and wash it regularly and as needed. Sweat, skin care and hair products also settle on silk. It is practical to have an extra cover so that the freshly washed can dry completely.
How do I wash my silk bonnet?
Follow the label on your bonnet. Wash it gently with silk detergent, squeeze out the water in a towel and let it air dry.Read our guide to washing bonnets.
Order, delivery and return
When will I receive my order?
Stock goods to Denmark are normally delivered within 1–3 working days. If busy or pre-ordered, the delivery time may be longer. See the stated delivery time on the website and with your order.
What is the shipping cost?
The shipping price and a possible limit for free shipping are displayed in the checkout before you pay. The price depends on the selected delivery.
When do you withdraw the money?
When paying by card, we usually only deduct the amount when the item is shipped. Any advance payment must be clearly agreed upon before ordering. A reservation on the card is not the same as the money being withdrawn.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Write as soon as possibleinfo@cillouettes.comwith your order number. We try to help, but cannot promise changes once the warehouse has started processing the order. See also ourtrade conditions.
How do I exchange an item?
Use oursexchange portal, where you will find instructions and terms. Feel free to write which color, size or product you want instead.
How do I return an item?
You will find instructions and a link to the return label on ourreturn page. Pack the item securely and keep your delivery receipt.
When will I get the money back on return?
We process the refund in connection with your return. It may take a few banking days before the amount appears in your account. You can read the detailed terms belowrefund in our trading conditions.
Need a purchase gift with a return?
If you return the entire order, the promotional gift must be returned. For a partial return, you can keep the gift if the items you keep still meet the campaign's purchase requirements. See the terms for the gift and oursreturn instructions.
What do I do if the item is damaged or incorrect?
Write toinfo@cillouettes.comwith your order number and a short description. In the event of damage, you are welcome to attach pictures of the item and the packaging so that we can help more easily.
