Information about the processing of personal data

Your data security is important to us, and we therefore place great emphasis on ensuring that your data is handled responsibly. Below, you can read how Cillouettes processes personal data about you when we act as data controller. You can also read about the rights you have in connection with our processing.

Cillouettes as data controller

In connection with operating our business, we process a range of personal data. We do this so that we can serve you as effectively as possible. We primarily collect and process ordinary (non-sensitive) data.

Which personal data we collect and the purpose

We process personal data about you in a number of different situations. Read more below about our processing in the various situations.

Visitors to Cillouettes's websites

When you visit Cillouettes websites (e.g. https://www.Cillouettes.dk/), Cillouettes may process information about your IP address and information about your computer, device, and browser.

We also process information about your visit (e.g. information about how you access our websites, how you navigate them, which pages you visit, the content you view, your searches, advertisements you have seen, etc.). We also process data that you provide to us in connection with your use of the website, for example when you complete a form or register online, including your name, company name, company address, work telephone number/mobile number, email address, title, product interests, and other information you provide to us.

We use your information to make relevant services and products available to you and to improve your experience of our websites and online services, as well as the services and products we offer. We also use data to show you content on our own and other websites based on your activities and preferences, and to limit the number of times you see the same content.

Our legal basis for processing is our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation) or your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation and Section 3 of the Executive Order on Cookies).

Customers and potential customers of Cillouettes

When you are a customer/potential customer of Cillouettes or a contact person at one of Cillouettes' customers/potential customers, Cillouettes processes personal data about your name, company name, company address, work telephone number/mobile number, email address, title, your purchases, payment information, as well as information from publicly available sources and other information you provide to us.

We process personal data for the purpose of fulfilling our agreements with our customers, including providing services, invoicing, compiling statistics and carrying out quality management, as well as maintaining our customer records and providing general service, marketing and sales to our customers and potential customers.

Our legal basis for processing is the agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation) or our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).

Recipients of marketing and participants in competitions

When you receive marketing from Cillouettes or participate in competitions, we process information about your name, company name, business address, work telephone number/mobile number, email address, title and product interests. We also process information about your preferences regarding marketing or communications and your use of the marketing we send you (including, for example, whether you have opened an email from us, whether the email has been read, and which links you have opened), as well as information you otherwise provide to us.

We process your information for the purpose of marketing our company and its products, creating and administering your subscription to marketing communications, and administering competitions, drawing winners, etc. We use information about your preferences and usage to understand how our customers respond to our marketing and to improve our marketing to you and our other customers going forward.

We only send you marketing material by email, SMS or another electronic channel when we have obtained your consent to do so, where this is required under the Danish Marketing Practices Act.

For our newsletter, we have established separate terms: When you sign up for the Cillouettes newsletter, you consent to Cillouettes processing your personal data (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation and Section 10 of the Danish Marketing Practices Act) solely for the purpose of receiving newsletters and marketing materials. You may withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter (Article 7(3) of the General Data Protection Regulation); this is done by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the newsletter. Your information will then be deleted unless we have another lawful basis that allows us to continue processing your personal data.

We also use data about you to show you content on our sites and those of others based on your activities and preferences, to limit the number of times you see the same content, and to measure the effectiveness of our content and marketing.

Our legal basis for processing is our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation) and/or your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation and Section 10 of the Danish Marketing Practices Act).

Business partners and/or suppliers to Cillouettes

When you are a business partner or supplier to Cillouettes, or are a contact person at a business partner or supplier, we process information about your name, company name, business address, work telephone number, email address and title, as well as publicly available information and other information you provide to us.

We process the information for contract management purposes and to receive goods and services from our suppliers and business partners and, where relevant, to fulfil agreements with our customers.

Our legal basis for processing is the agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation) or our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).

Other general purposes for processing

We may supplement the information described above with information from other sources. This may be publicly available information - including information we obtain through generally accessible sources.

Information we have collected for the purposes described above may also be processed by Cillouettes to comply with the laws and regulations to which Cillouettes is subject in connection with operating our business, or to fulfil various reporting or information obligations under applicable laws and regulations (Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation).

If Cillouettes sells all or part of our business, or sells or transfers our assets, or is otherwise involved in a merger or transfer of all or a substantial part of our business, Cillouettes may transfer your data to the party or parties involved in the transfer as part of this transaction, where permitted by law (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).

Finally, Cillouettes may process your personal data to enforce or defend our or a third party's legal rights or legitimate interests where this is necessary, justified and proportionate (Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation).

Sharing your data with others

Cillouettes may disclose your personal data to other suppliers and/or service providers in connection with the ordinary operation of our business.

Cillouettes may also disclose your personal data to a public authority in situations where we are specifically required to disclose your personal data under applicable legislation and notification obligations to which we are subject.

We seek to limit the disclosure of personal data in an identifiable form and thereby the disclosure of information that can be linked to you personally.

Cillouettes also discloses your personal data to data processors, for example in connection with the administration of our IT systems and marketing. Our data processors process your personal data solely for our purposes and according to our instructions. We enter into data processing agreements with our data processors to ensure that the necessary security measures are in place, protect the data and comply with our data protection obligations.

Retention period, data integrity and security

Your personal data will not be stored for longer than necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. When your data is no longer needed, we will ensure that it is securely deleted.

It is our policy to protect personal data by implementing adequate technical and organisational security measures.

Your rights

As a data subject, you have a number of rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. If you wish to exercise your rights, you must contact us.

You may - unconditionally and at any time - withdraw any consent. You can do so by sending us an email (see the email above). Withdrawing your consent will not have any negative impact. However, it may mean that we can no longer fulfil specific requests from you. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before it was withdrawn. Furthermore, it will not affect any processing carried out on another lawful basis.

You may also - unconditionally and at any time - object to our processing when it is based on our legitimate interest.

Your rights also include the following:

• Right of access: You have the right to access the personal data we process about you.
• Right to rectification: You have the right to have inaccurate personal data about yourself rectified and incomplete personal data completed.
• Right to erasure (the right to be forgotten): In certain cases, you have the right to have personal data about you erased before the time at which we would normally delete your data.
• Right to restriction of processing: In certain cases, you have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted. If you have the right to have processing restricted, going forward we may only process the data - apart from storage - with your consent, or for the purpose of establishing, exercising or defending legal claims, or protecting a person or important public interests.
• Right to object: In certain cases, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, and always when the processing is for direct marketing purposes.
• Right to data portability: In certain cases, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have this personal data transferred from one data controller to another.
